History of Jesus Divine Mercy Image
In 1931, St Faustina, a Polish Sister belonging to the Sisters of Merciful Jesus, saw an apparition of Jesus. Jesus instructed St Faustina to paint His image with the signature ‘Jesus I trust in YOU’. The First image is called the image of ‘Jesus Divine Mercy’ displayed at The Shrine of Divine Mercy - Bialystok (Poland). In 2010 we will organise a visit.
The image has one hand raised, symbolising blessing and with the other hand Jesus is touching His garment at His breast. From under the garment shone two rays of light. One red and one pale representing the Blood and Water which gushed from the heart of Jesus when on the cross; and his heart was pierced.
Jesus promised:
“All those who venerate this image will not perish. I also promise victory over ones enemies, here on earth, especially at the hour of death. I will give unimaginable graces to those who trust in my Mercy.” Diary 327.
We do not worship the image, but rather use the image as a reminder of our duties which includes Trust and Deeds of Mercy.
Faith in Jesus, Divine Mercy, He will cure you of any illness, disease, mental or physical. He is calling all mankind to venerate this image.
Whilst compiling this web site, I found the link below, which expertly exemplifies preciseness of the Shroud of Turin over the face of Jesus, according to the apparition of St Faustina. http://www.faustina-message.com/index.htm .There is the perfect fit, indisputable.
Religious (IV, 39 - 59)
“ It pains Me very much when religious souls receive the Sacrament of Love merely out of habit, as if they do not understand what this food is. I find neither faith, nor love in their hearts. I go to such souls with great reluctance. It would be better if they did not receive....”
The above paragraph applied to me. Jesus inspired a stranger to change my life. I can never thank her enough. If I can help be a tool for you, I would be delighted. May God inspire you and Bless you for reading this.
